As we are winding down for Christmas, we wanted to share with you a little bit of our journey so far. We have started this year in January with just an idea and one project. It was all a trial, just to see could we make it work. At that time I was the only one working in ACS. The idea was to get SME producers and manufacturers on the road to retail success. Getting their products listed with retailers, connecting them with key buyers and other business owners was my initial idea. Key account management, as many would call it, is a main ingredient for SME’s to become successful.
Large companies the likes of Apple, EMC, Dell, Microsoft etc. rely heavily on key account managers to sustain their growth capacity. Over 65% of sales is done by KAM’s with approx. 35% in new business development.
What’s stopping most SME’s is the immense cost to hire KAM’s into their business as well as finding the right team to serve a broader market. In that moment, ACS Anchor Solutions was born.
An affordable service to enter all major European markets from anywhere in the world.
Building relationships on our clients behalf as well as making it easy to integrate once a producer was ready to grow beyond their local or nationwide markets. This, I thought is the best way to work with retail buyers and I had the vision to implement this service into a unique, tailored solution for manufacturers. Brexit happened as well and many Irish businesses starting to fear of what is going to happen with their export market UK. My initial thought was to start introducing those businesses to the German market, show that there is more opportunities out there than just the UK.
And this was seen as a great opportunity by many businesses around Europe to conquer the EU market.Since that fateful day in January, we have signed up over 25 clients, mainly manufacturing companies from all over the World; but namely in Ireland, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Canada and the US connecting to over 5,000 retailers and key buyers across Europe.
We have also grown to a multi-lingual team of 12 employees, all highly qualified key account managers, coached regularly in sales and relationship building.
Connecting businesses to Europe has never been easier and we are looking forward to continue working with our valued clients across Europe, making sure their products are being seen and stocked from small retailers to large chains as well as online resellers.
Our mission for next year is to continue to grow and build this business further, making sure that SME’s now have a chance to compete with large manufacturers and producers.
