What Is A Sales Account Manager?
A Sales Account Manager (S.A.M) is a professional relationship builder with extensive expertise in sales. But they’re not just any kind of sales person. You see, in sales we differentiate between hunters and farmers. Hunters would be the likes of telemarketers, who get immediate results and move on, regardless of whether or not they make the sale.
Farmers, on the other hand, build relationships with prospective customers, learning everything possible about them and building that relationship from the ground up. They build relationships with everybody in the organisation, from the receptionist all the way up to key decision makers. It’s a longer process than telesales or telemarketing, but leads to better results. This is what a Sales Account Manager does. This is what we do. It’s the core of ACS Anchor Solutions.

There isn’t really a right or wrong answer on this. A telemarketer might get you quick results, but the chances are, you won’t make a return on your investment.
